Gretchen G. BadgleyGretchen G. Badgley, 89 of Tipton died at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville.  She was born May 17, 1925 in Tipton to O.P. & Helen (Gant) Green.  On May 31, 1947 she married Cleo "Pete" Badgley and he preceded her in death on October 24, 1989.Gretchen was the secretary at the First Presbyterian Church for 50 years.  She had also worked at Tipton Title and Abstract and Oakes Manufacturing.  She was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir for many years.  Gretchen was a 1943 graduate of Tipton High School.  She enjoyed spending time with family, working puzzles, travelling, playing cards and watching sports.Gretchen is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Alley and husband John, Tipton and three grandchildren, Andy Schwierman, Jena Welker and Josh Alley.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Marilyn Green-Meyers.Funeral services for Gretchen will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24 at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 W. Jefferson Street, Tipton, with Revs. Jack Masters and Mae Leech presiding.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Open Door Fund.
