Glen Welch

Glen WelchGlen Welch, 84 of Tipton died at 4:44 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at his residence.  He was born April 1, 1931 in Rose Hill, Virginia to Wilburn "Ebb" & Willie (King) Welch.  On August 4, 1950 he married Beulah Witt and she survives.Glen was an Inspector for Delco Radio in Kokomo, retiring in 1983.  He loved farming and gardening and had attended Beech Grove Baptist Church in Tipton.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beulah; three brothers, Armour Welch and wife Ruth, Michigantown, Indiana, Bill Welch and wife Wanda, Rose Hill, Fayne Welch and wife Marcie, Jonesville, Virginia, a sister, Freda Yeary, Brookville, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Billie Jean, Johnson City, Tennessee, along with several nieces and nephews.Glen is also survived by three brothers-in-law, Roy Witt and wife Brenda, Rose Hill, Robert Witt and wife Darlene, Florida and Frank Witt and wife Jannie, Bunker Hill; one sister-in-law, Linda Leicht and husband Bob, Sharpsville.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris Welch and Hobert Welch.Glen's funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Kelly presiding.  Burial will follow in Kempton Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions in Glen's honor may be made to Riley Children's Foundation, 30 South Meridian Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46204.
