Gertrude M. Cox

Gertrude M. CoxGertrude M. Cox, 81 of Tipton died Sunday January 20, 2008 at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton at 2:30am.  She was born in Hamilton County on November 15, 1926 to Roll and Elizabeth (Wilson) Leeman.  She married Thomas D. Cox on January 15, 1949, he survives.Gertrude was a homemaker and belonged to the First Baptist Church in Tipton.She is survived by her husband, Tom; two sons, Daniel L. Cox and wife Ann of Tipton and Elmer K. Cox and wife Anita of Paris, Illinois.  She has 2 grandchildren, Julie A. and Charity Beth Cox.  Gertrude is the youngest of 12 children with only her brother, Rollie Leeman of Marshalltown, Iowa surviving. She was preceeded in death by siblings, Lloyd, Bob, Ruth, Martha, George, Muriel, Marjorie, Henry, Arza, and Irene.Funeral services will be Wednesday January 23, 2008 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Tipton with the Revs. Elmer Cox, Mark Ward and Lawrence Hufhand presiding.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church Mission Fund, 400 Oak Street, Tipton, Indiana 46072.
