Esther Marie McMath

Esther Marie McMath, 83 passed away at her home in Tipton, Indiana on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. She was born in Clinton, Indiana on September 23, 1941to Barney and Vera (Shannon) Giacoletti,  

Esther grew up in Clinton where she was a graduate of Clinton High School. After graduating from Indiana State College, she taught school in the Tipton Community School System until her retirement. On March 13, 1993 she married Robert William "Bob" McMath and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2020. 

Esther is survived by her brother Edward Giacoletti and wife Linda, stepsons Thomas McMath and wife Diane, William "Bill” Ragan and wife Sheri, Ray Ragan and wife Kimberly and stepdaughter Evelyn Cosentino. Also surviving are brother-in-law Carroll McMath and wife Sally, sisters-in-law Janet Barnett and husband Don, Linda McMath, Joyce Byers and Kathy Lashbrook and husband Harold and several nephews and cousins.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her mother and father, sister Marilyn Cinotto and stepdaughter Katherine Molina.  

It was Esther’s desire to not have any funeral service. She will be cremated and buried next to Bob in Fairview Cemetery. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
