Esther F. Castor

Esther F. CastorEsther F. Castor, 98, formerly of Tipton and Windfall died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Parkview Convalescent Centre in Elwood.  She was born July 9, 1910 in Windfall to George L. & Lilie (Weaver) Wilburn.  On May 5, 1928 she married Charles G. Castor and he preceded her in death in 1975.She was a homemaker, had worked at Klein Shoe Store and was an Avon Lady for many years.  Esther was a loving mother and grandmother.  She belonged to the Double Dozen Club and the Happy Hour Club.Esther is survived by one daughter, Beth Lange, Windfall, one sister, Louise Crouch, Tipton, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles G. Castor, Jr. and Walter L. "Buddy" Castor who died as an infant, one daughter, Evelyn Marcum, three brothers, one sister, one granddaughter, Kim Lange Adair, and one grandson Duane Marcum.Her funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at the Hazel Dell Church, 4017 E. 300 N. Windfall, with Rev. Sharm Eaton presiding.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton.Memorial contributions may be made to the food pantry at the Tipton County Human Resource Center, 341 W.
