Dorothy M. West

Dorothy M. WestDorothy M. West, 92, Anderson and a former Tipton resident, died at 5:39 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Keystone Woods in Anderson.  She was born October 5, 1917 in Terre Haute to Albert & Amy (Bledsoe) Kerr.  On June 12, 1937 she married Warren West and preceded her in death on January 23, 2009.Dorothy was homemaker and a member of the West Street Christian Church. She enjoyed beadwork and working crossword puzzles.She is survived by three children, Emma Lou Baker and husband Charles, Anderson, Rickie Dean West and wife Pauline, Rapid City, South Dakota, and Teresa Robin Price and husband Joe, Pendleton; eight grandchildren, Michael Garrison and wife Lisa, Bradley Garrison and wife Karen, Kanda (Baker) Martin and husband Matt, Erin, Amanda, and Tiffany West, Eric, and Emily Price; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Devin, Darin, Sarah, Julia, Katherine, and Benjamin Garrison, Gracie and Malachi Martin.  She was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Charles D. Kerr and Virginia Kerr.Her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Lutz presiding.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
