Dorothy Louise (White) HaskettDorothy Louise Haskett, 98, Tipton, died at 12:35 a.m. Sunday, August 31, 2008 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born on June 30, 1910 in Logansport to William A. & Katie E. (Storer) White.  On October 20, 1940 she married Fred F. Haskett and he preceded her in death on July 27, 2003.She was a homemaker and teacher, retiring from teaching in 1974.  She had also worked as a substitute teacher in Wayne Township Schools in Marion County.  A 1928 graduate of Logansport High School she graduated from Ball State in 1933. Dorothy was a member of the Speedway United Methodist Church and the Indiana Retired Teacher's Association.Dorothy is survived by two children, Patricia Durham and husband Alan, Tipton, and Robert W. Haskett and wife Laurie, Tucson, Arizona; two granddaughters, Debra Kellogg and husband Robert, Kansas City, Kansas, and Deanna Humphries and Husband Brian, Genesco, Illinois; four great-grandchildren, Carly Humphries, Cooper Humphries, Cade Humphries and Alexis Kellogg.  She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna (White) Stewart and Bertha (White) Burk.Her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Darren Cushman-Wood presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. Sunday.Memorial contributions may be made to Speedway United Methodist Church, 5065 West 16th Street Speedway, Indiana, 46224, for its missions or the Indiana United Methodist Children's Home, P.O. Box 747, Lebanon, Indiana, 46052.
