Dorothy E. Loft

Dorothy E. LoftDorothy Ellen Loft, 86, Tipton, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2007 at Tipton Hospital.  She was born March 23, 1921 to William & Frieda (Preston) Wappes.  On May 10, 1941 she married Gerald F. Loft and he survives.  She had worked at Joann's House of Flowers in Tipton.  Dorothy was a loving wife and mother.Survivors besides her husband include two daughters, Freida Coy and friend John Tucher of Largo, Florida, and Nancy Ashley and husband Jim of Tipton; three brothers and one sister, George Wappes, Garrett, Max Wappes, Auburn, Shirley Griffin, Garrett and Jack Wappes, Garrett; four grandchildren, Brian Coy, Largo, Florida, Scott Coy, Greenwood, Kelli McGregor, Kokomo, and Brad Vanosdol, Noblesville; nine great-grandchildren, Stacy Coy, Charlie Coy and Levi Coy of Greenwood, Becca McGregor, Emma McGregor and Sammy McGregor of Kokomo, and Connor Vanosdol, Taylor Vanosdol and Clare Vanosdol, all of Noblesville.She was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters, William Wappes, Jr., Ora McFarland and Merlin Wappes.Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Loft and Rev. Charles Anderson presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
