Doris E. Bath, 86 of Tipton died at 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at IU Health Tipton Hospital. She was born in Elwood on November 14, 1929 to Joseph M. & Ethel A. (Buskirk) Todd. On May 22, 1948 she married Lawrence J. Bath, Jr. and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2016. They had spent 28 years wintering in Hudson, Florida.
Doris was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church in Tipton where she had taught Bible School and Sunday School. She loved sewing, crocheting, playing cards and going to garage sales. She collected praying hands and dolls.
Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Kay Auler and husband Charles Leroy, Tipton; two grandsons, Brad Lee Auler and Brent Allen Auler and wife Anita Kae; three great-grandchildren, Taylor McKenzie Auler, Peyton Allen Auler and Jarren Lee Auler; two step-great-grandchildren, Ashley Coleman and Cody Austin LeCount.
Doris was preceded in death by two sisters, Jenny Wright and Emma Scott and one brother, Bob Todd.
The funeral service for Doris will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Ward presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
