Donald Wayne "Don" Marcum, 75 of Tipton, and formerly of Kokomo and Sheridan, died at 1:04 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2016 at his residence. Don's mother was Jennie F. (Wallace) Cline and he was born in Noblesville on February 21, 1941.
Don retired from Chrysler Corporation in 2004 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958-1964. He enjoyed fishing, camping and watching NASCAR.
Don is survived by two sons, Steve Marcum and Bryan Marcum; four sisters, Judy Orr, Tipton, Margie Quick and husband Mike, Sheridan, Roberta Mendenhall and husband Mark, Lebanon and Molly Cline, Sheridan. He has three nephews and two nieces, Jeff Pumphrey, Scott Pumphrey, Amy (Mendenhall) Conley, Max Mendenhall and Angie (Quick) McNew.
A graveside service for Don will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at the Boxley Cemetery in Hamilton County with Rev. Linda McKiernan-Allen presiding. Burial will follow with military honors. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
