Donald R. Clark, 71 of Kempton went home to be with the Lord at 10:28 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Riverview Hospital, Noblesville. Don was born August 26, 1941 to John & Edith (Russell) Clark in Elmhurst, Illinois.
He was a devoted father and grandfather. Don had worked in wholesale sales of building materials. He enjoyed doing projects with his grandchildren in his woodworking shop and spending time in the Ozarks with his son at their hunting cabin.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Joy (Sorden) Clark; a son, Micah Clark and wife Cherie, Noblesville; a daughter, Amy Desai and husband Rajan, Noblesville; four grandchildren, Olivia Clark, Benjamin Clark, Elizabeth Desai, and Andrew Desai.
Don is also survived by a sister, Diane Brayton and husband Phil, Phoenix, Arizona and a brother, Richard Clark and wife Sue, Tucson, Arizona.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8 at the First Baptist Church, 400 Oak Street, Tipton, with Rev. Dr. Lawrence Hufhand presiding. Burial will follow in Kempton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
