Don R. HooverDon R. Hoover, 77 of Windfall died at 5:42 a.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at IU Health Tipton Hospital.  He was born in Tipton on November 8, 1935 to Dilver & Virginia (Young) Hoover.Don worked for Delco-Remy and Magnequench in Anderson, and was also a farmer.  He was a graduate of Tipton High School.  Don was a member of the West Street Christian Church, F.O.P., V.F.W., American Legion, Moose, Eagles, Elks, Indy Dancers, Antique Tractor Club, Mid-America Threshing, and the NRA.  Don was a fan of NASCAR, International Harvester, and open wheel racing. He was a past-president of Kokomo Quarter Midget Club and a Euchre fanatic.  Don served in the Army.  His greatest pride were his children and grandchildren, who brought him the most joy.He is survived by three children, Todd Hoover and wife Tarah, Tipton,  Jennifer Hoover, Tipton, Jack Hoover, Tipton; six grandchildren, Nathan, Mackenzie, Cassie, Libby, Julianna, and Hadley Hoover; a special friend, Anne Moss; three sisters, Judith Hoover, Tipton, Beverly Hoover, Van Buren, Indiana, and Joan Cole, Ormond Beach, Florida: one brother, Keith Hoover, Tipton.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Hoover and Margie Day, and two brothers, Phil Hoover, Billy Hoover.Don's funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Linda McKiernan-Allen presiding.   Visitation will be from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6 at Fairview Cemetery with military honors.Memorial contributions may be made to Donate Life Indiana, 3760 Guion Road, Indianapolis, IN  46222.
