Don Burget

Don BurgetC. Don Burget, age 73 of Celina, Ohio, died Saturday June 28, 2008 at Mercer Health Community Hospital in Coldwater, Ohio. He was born to Mary (Wheatley) and Dale Burget on May 22, 1935 in Prairie Twp, Tipton Co. Indiana.He was better known to many as "Boss" Burget in the community. He graduated from Prairie Twp High School in 1953 and his employment included Perfect Circle Corp. later known as Dana Corp. and he later became a Staff Representative in District 30 of the United Steel Workers Union. He lived in Kokomo, Elkhart Indiana and Celina Ohio later retiring in Celina.He is survived by 3 sisters. Marianna (Don) Gray of Tipton IN, Madonna (John) Spratt of Las Brisas Honduras Central America, Marilyn (Danny) Nash of Prairie Twp. Tipton County and a very special friend Mary McClain of Celina, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gerald E. Burget.His memberships included Eagles and Moose Lodges in Celina Ohio, a 50 year member of the Austin Masonic Lodge #128 F&AM and Elk's BPOE #1012 in Tipton IN. He served in the Military from 1958 to 1960 being stationed in Germany.Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday July 1,  at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home 715 E Main St Coldwater Ohio and also 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, 216 W Jefferson St., Tipton with funeral services at 7:00 p.m. and Steve Brown will preside.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society or the donor's charity of choice.
