David Lee Tidler

David Lee Tidler, 87 of Tipton died peacefully Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Tipton on January 31, 1937 to Charles and Ruth (Lewis) Tidler. David married Evelyn Riley on June 14, 1957. She preceded him in death on February 28, 2014. 

David served his county in the United States Air Force. He worked many years at Perfect Circle until it closed; he then transitioned his career to Pioneer where he did multiple tasks throughout his years there. He was a member at Beulah Land Church. David had several hobbies which included caving, fishing, bird watching, hunting arrowheads and enjoying animals, especially his dog. He dearly loved his family as he watched the little ones grow through the generations. 

Survivors include his four children; Melinda Goodnight-Neff and husband Ronnie of Tipton, DiVette Wyatt of Kokomo, David Lee Tidler Jr. of Kempton and Ronald Tidler and wife Lisa of Kempton. Siblings include Garry Tidler (Sharon), Joe Tidler, Dick Tidler and Evelyn Tidler Johnson and husband Jr. David has 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. 

He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be on Friday, August 9 at 2:00 P.M. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery with military honors presented by the Tipton American Legion.  Visitation will also be on Friday from Noon until service time.
