Constance R. “Connie” Tolle

Constance R. “Connie” Tolle, 82 of Kokomo, died at 9:50 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at her residence.  She was born on April 14, 1936 in Tipton to Raymond Moody & Rosamary (Bates) Grimes.  On December 31, 1966 she married William M. Tolle, Jr. and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1999.

Connie was a stay at home mother and wife.  She cared for and helped raise many children, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Connie was a strong believer in Christ and an avid animal lover.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, walking, shopping, watching mysteries and crime dramas.  Connie was a lifelong Republican and followed politics closely.

She is survived by four children, Patricia Tolle, Durham, North Carolina, Mary Zachery and husband Scott, Anderson, Mike Tolle, Kokomo, Becky Wallace and husband Bill, Franklin, Indiana; five siblings, Mary Lou Grimes, Tipton, Harold Grimes, California, Bill Grimes and wife Minnie, Tipton, Don Grimes, and Dan Grimes and wife Margaret, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Brittany York, Dylan Tolle, Kayla Moss, Logann Zachary, Elisa Tolle, Landon Zachary, Connor Wallace; along with several great-grandchildren.  Connie was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Tolle and two brothers, Raymond Moody and Charles Grimes, Jr.

Connie’s funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Dewey Moss presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
