Charles F. Grimes, Jr.Charles F. Grimes, Jr., 69 of Tipton died at 8:23 a.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011  at IU Tipton Hospital.  He was born July 6, 1941 in Tipton to Charles F. Grimes, Sr. and Rosamary (Bates) Grimes.  On October 2, 1998 he married Beverly Gephart and she survives.Charlie retired in 2000 from Chrysler after 32 years of service.  He was a member of UAW 685, an Associate Member of the Fraternal Order of Police - Tipton Lodge #109, the National Rifle Association and the Friday Night Car Club.  Charlie was a 1960 graduate of Tipton High School.Survivors besides his wife include one daughter, one step-daughter and two step-sons; four brothers, William Grimes, Tipton, Harold Grimes, California, Dan Grimes, Georgia and Don Grimes, California; two sisters, Mary Lou Grimes, Atlanta and Connie Tolle, Anderson.  He is also survived by three grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.Charlie's funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Carr presiding.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service.Memorial contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order of Police, Tipton Lodge #109, P.O.
