Charles Eugene "Charlie" Cauble, 91 formerly of Tipton died at 3:29 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014 at his son's residence in Kokomo. He was born March 12, 1923 in Tipton County to Henry & Rovilla Cauble. On September 21, 1946 he married Phyllis Mae Lee and she preceded him in death on January 5, 2008.
Charlie retired from Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo after 30 years of service. Charlie was a former member of the Odd Fellows Lodge at Ekin. He was also a lifetime member of the Dolphin Submariner Organization. He was in the United States Navy Submarine Service during the war, serving on the USS Dragnet.
He is survived by three sons, Robert Cauble and wife Teresa, Kokomo, William Cauble and wife Janet, Elwood, Richard Cauble and wife Linda, Cape Coral, Florida; one daughter, Belinda Cauble, Tipton; six grandchildren, Carrie Babcock and husband Jim, Greg Cauble, R.C. Cauble, Parker Cauble, Stacia Isenhower and husband Josh, and Shelbie Cauble; six great-grandchildren, Baylee Cauble, Colton Cauble, Brenyn Cauble, Jaymee Mills, Conner Babcock, and Cooper Babcock. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Steve Cauble; a sister, Mary Finley, and a brother, Lee Cauble.
His funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Wik and Chaplain Eric Catron presiding. Burial will follow in Kempton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
