Chad T. R. Whitesell

Chad T. R. WhitesellChad T. R. Whitesell, 35 of Indianapolis and a former Tipton resident died Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at his residence.  He was born in Tipton on April 17, 1979 to James Richard "Rick" and Robin (Richardson) Whitesell.Chad graduated from Tipton High School in 1998 where he participated in Cross Country and Track and was an student athletic trainer.  He went on to receive a degree in Physical Education from IUPUI.  He was currently a teacher at Indianapolis Public Schools working at the Coleman School.  Chad fulfilled his lifelong dream of teaching and helping children.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family and pets.He is survived by his mother, Robin Whitesell of Elwood, his father Rick Whitesell and wife Marci, Tipton; siblings Andrew P. Whitesell of Elwood and Cassandra J. Whitesell of Tipton; maternal grandmother Kay Gustason,  paternal grandmother Betty Summers and maternal great grandmother Mary Simmons.Chad is also survived by his aunts, Barbara Rhoades, Judy Blackford, Joni Ellis and husband Mark, Brenda McDowell and husband Butch, and Dee Anna Pore; uncles Ranny Simmons and wife Janice, Tony Richardson, Brian Richardson, Kim Owen and wife Teresa and  Dale Graves and wife Kathy; step-grandmother Cassandra Plake and step-uncle Tony (Barb) Plake, two nieces and two nephews.Chad's funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton with Rev. Gary Eberhart presiding .  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.  Cremation is the chosen form of disposition.Memorial contributions may be made to the Tipton County Humane Society, P.O.
