Carolyn J. Fecher

Carolyn J. Fecher, 80 of Kokomo died on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her residence.  She was born on November 5, 1936 in Anderson, Indiana to Fred E. & Mae C. (Lake) Delph.  On February 14, 1964 she married Louis E. Fecher and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2000.

Carolyn worked at Kroger in Kokomo and was a member of Indian Heights Community Church in Kokomo.  She was a pianist and Outreach Director at the church.  Carolyn was also a member of Southern Gospel Music Association and an honorary member of the V.F.W.

She is survived by four children, Janet Purvis, Tipton, Jerry E. Fecher, Louisville, Kentucky, Rhonda Fecher, Kokomo, and Karen Fecher, Indiana; a sister, Patricia Snedigar, Indianapolis; two grandsons, Robert E. Purvis, Jr. and Bryan E. Purvis; two great-grandchildren, Adam James Purvis and Sophia Grace Purvis.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Trina Delph, Tipton and nieces and nephews Terry Delph, Minneapolis, Chris Stinson, Tipton and Scott Delph, Lebanon.  Carolyn was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Delph.

Carolyn’s funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Logan Westrick presiding. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.
