Bud Rodgers Reynolds, 57 of Atlanta passed quietly from earth to eternal life with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at home with his family by his side on Friday, May 23, 2014. He was born in Tipton on January 1, 1957 to George "Bud" and Violet (Pennington) Reynolds.
Bud is survived by his wife Devona (Cox) Reynolds and his mother Vi Reynolds of Atlanta; sisters Victoria "Sis" Breedlove, Bloomington, and Sharon Kerr and husband Danny, Atlanta; step-daughters April Parker and Melanie Black, step-son Saul Black and wife Jennifer. Grandchildren include Peyton Parker, Gus Parker, Zoe Black, Zeb Black, Harmony Black, his "little man" Zach Black and Natilie Black; one great-granddaughter, Eleanor Maddox.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Bradley and Theda Reynolds, and Jack and Alice Pennington.
Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing and times with his family. He especially enjoyed hanging out with his many friends, Nick Lynch, Rick Woods, Darrel Shupperd and Jeff Picket, who he considered his brother, to name a few.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Rev. Mark Ward presiding. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28 at the funeral home.
