Beverly S. BairdBeverly S. Baird, 67 of Tipton died at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.  She was born in Kokomo on April 28, 1948 to Connie Guy and Geneva (Willis) Higgins.  Beverly married Roger L. "Leon" Baird on December 3, 1966.Beverly farmed with her husband and loved her family.  She enjoyed attending her sons' and grandsons' activities and vacationing with her family, especially going on cruises and attending baseball games with Leon.  She was a member of Plum Grove Extension Homemakers Club and supported the Kokomo Rescue Mission.  Bev graduated from Sharpsville Prairie High School in 1966 and had worked and volunteered at Tipton Elementary Schools.  Bev's greatest love was being around and supporting her family.Bev is survived by her husband Leon, sons Brian and wife Polly of Sharpsville and Richard and wife Charlotte of Tipton.  She has five grandsons, Jack, Luke, Roman, Jagger and Zander Baird.  Also surviving are siblings Connie Howard and husband Don of Kokomo, Jim Higgins and wife Karen of Kokomo, and Kim Quillen and husband John of Carmel.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday June 23 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Shoemaker presiding.  Burial will follow at Sharpsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Oncology Department at St. Vincent Hospital,8402 Harcourt Road, Suite 210, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46260,  or Riley Children's Hospital c/o Riley Children's Foundation, 30 South Meridian Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46204.
