Beverly Jane Pace

Beverly Jane (Arnold) Pace, 89, of Tipton passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024, after a short illness. She was born in Tipton on May 14, 1935, to the late Robert Allen and Mary Elizabeth (Phares) Arnold. She graduated from Tipton High School as part of the class of 1953 and on March 7, 1954, married the late George W. Pace, Jr., with whom she had two daughters.

Beverly was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker who went on to work at Tipton County Memorial Hospital, Farmers Loan & Trust Co., and for Richter Chiropractic, from which she retired in 2002. For years, she would get together with her friends from Tipton High School often and help put together class reunions for the Class of ’53. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, interior decorating, IU basketball, and watching her favorite TV shows.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Daniel) Ames of Morton, Illinois, and Pamela Hickman of Tipton; her grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) Ames of Vienna, Virginia, and Megan Ames of Bloomington, Illinois; and her two great-grandchildren Maya Ames and Maxwell Ames. She is also survived by her niece, DeeAnn (Ronnie) Ross, and two nephews, Cary Arnold and Cory Arnold. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and by her brother, Jerry Arnold of Lapel.

Per Beverly’s wishes, no formal services are planned and she will be buried in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 681405, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46268. https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html, a cause which was close to Beverly’s heart.
