Betty S. Cast Taylor

Betty S. Cast Taylor, 77 of Kokomo died on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at her residence. She was born on August 30, 1941 in Alexandria and had previously lived in Tipton.

Betty was married to Jerry T. Cast, Sr. on November 20, 1959 and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1986. She later married Rex Taylor and he also preceded her in death. Betty had worked as a dietician at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo and Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. She enjoyed watching reality shows on TV, especially Cops. Betty was a caregiver and a kind ear to everyone, a position she greatly enjoyed.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry T. Cast, Jr., Kokomo, Jeff Cast and wife Sherry, Freedom, Indiana and Jay Cast and companion Debbie, Atlanta; one daughter-in-law, Dena Cast; two brothers, J.C. Bevel, Texas and Jr. Bevel, Maryland; 11 grandchildren, Shaun, Tia, Tony, April, Jeff, Jessica, Selena, Shana, Cory, Tiffany and Krystal, several great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her two husbands, one son, James T. “Jim” Cast, one grandson, Tommy and one great-grandson, Dylan.

Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 30 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with burial to follow in Tetersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
