Betty Jo “B.J.” (Watson) Beever

Betty Jo “B.J.” (Watson) Beever, 85 of Tipton died at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at IU Health – Tipton Hospital.  She was born on November 6, 1932 in Tipton to Raymond C. & Iretta (Holloway) Wimer.  She married Noah Beever on November 22, 1978 and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2007.

B.J. retired was a High School Teacher.  She taught at Elwood High School before retiring in 1984.  She graduated from Tipton High School and MacMurray College. B.J. then got her Masters Degree in Education from Ball State.

She is survived by two sons, Donald R. Watson and wife Charlotte, Tipton, Ronald L. Watson and wife Terry, Tipton; a sister Carol Ann Svane, White Pigeon, Michigan; grandchildren, Katrina Edwards and husband Chad, Craig Watson, Alyssa Kummick and husband Jonathan, Tabitha Thompson and husband William, Richard Watson and wife Tiffany;  along with 11 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two siblings, Connie Lea Wimer and Billy Lee Wimer.

B.J. family will received friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.  She will be entombed at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, Florida on Monday, July 16.
