Betty J. CardwellBetty J. Cardwell, 82, Tipton died at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Autumnwood Extended Care.  She was born January 2, 1926 in Tipton to Gustav & Bernice (Cottingham) Koeper.  On July 31, 1954 she married Roy Cardwell and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1979.She worked as a Railway Express & Western Union Agent.  Betty was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church and the Verus Cordis Sorority.She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Saltzman and her husband Ray, Tipton, and one grandson, Randall Saltzman.Her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Joshua Netherton presiding.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2723 South Albright Road, Kokomo, Indiana, 46902.
