Bessie JacksonFormer Tipton resident Bessie Jackson, 92, died at 4:58 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Sunrise of Carmel.  She was born February 4, 1914, in Rocky Hill, Kentucky to Frank & Ola (Madison) Sneed.  She married Duward Duke in 1929 and he passed away in 1941.  She then married Charles Jackson in 1943 and he died in 1985.  Bessie was a member of the Normanda Christian Church.She is survived by two daughters, Linda Fields and husband Jerry, Frankfort and Doris Armstrong, Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren, John Duke, Susie Gallmeyer, Gary Duke, Cheri Morris, David Duke, Todd Fields, Kimberly Maxwell, Amy Bolin, Patrick Armstrong and Allison Armstrong; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. One son, Aubrey Duke, is deceased.Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Steve Brown presiding.  Burial will be in Kempton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
