Bernadine "Bernie" Henry, 91 of Tipton died at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton. She was born September 19, 1921 in Tipton County to Raymond John & Anna (McEntee) Henry.

Bernie had worked at Stokleys and Pioneer in Tipton for many years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a 1940 graduate of the St. Joseph Academy in Tipton.

Survivors include one brother, Gene Henry, Tipton; nieces Suzette Bills and husband Ronald, Potomac, Illinois, Annette Workman and husband Don, Avon, Indiana, Lynette Baeza and husband Faustino, Odessa, Texas and Juliette Coston and husband Gary, Alexandria, Indiana; one nephew, Barry Henry and wife Jannett; Hendersonville, Tennessee, one niece-in-law, Cindy Henry, Indianapolis; several great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Catherine Henry, a sister-in-law, Margie Henry, and two nephews, Bill Henry and Jeff Henry.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 6 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church with a Rosary Service at 12:30 p.m. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in Bernie's memory be made to either St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, or St. John the Baptist Catholic School, 340 Mill Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
