Arnell Burnette

Arnell BurnetteArnell Burnette, 82, of Tipton went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at her residence while surrounded by her family.  She was born May 25, 1932 in Moss, Tennessee to Edward and Ersie (Netherton) Odle.  On March 1, 1952 she married David R. Burnette.  He preceded her in death on October 1, 2013.Arnell retired from Delco Electronics in 1991 after 28 years of service.  She was a member of of Church of Christ in Tipton.Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Thomas (Bill), and Tracy Weddell (Dick), all of Tipton; four grandchildren, Stefnie Jones (Kyle), Andy Rogers (Jen), Nathan Weddell and Taylor Weddell; eight great-grandchildren, Austan, Brandon, Anna and Haden Jones, and Ella, Ben, Ethan, and Parker Rogers.  She is also survived by a sister, Loretta (Terry) Ploughe, Tipton.Arnell was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, her parents, her brother, Bob Odle, and a grandson Aaron Rogers.Her funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Ken McClain presiding.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Tipton County Relay for Life, 5635 West 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana  46278.
