Arleda Z. Jones, 72 of Windfall died at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at IU Health Tipton Hospital. She was born on February 20, 1941 to Cecil and Zettie (Ellison) Wood. On July 14, 1958 she married Charlie E. Jones and he survives.
She was a member of the Windfall Christian Church where she was the long-time bookkeeper and treasurer. Arleda worked at Durex Products in Windfall, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed playing euchre and played in two clubs. Arleda and Charlie had also coached their daughters’ softball teams, and spent many hours beautifying their yard.
Surviving besides her husband Charlie are two daughters, Tami Ford and husband Ken, Tipton; Cheryl Richter and husband Brad, Fortville; three grandchildren Luke Richter, Jessica Richter, and Kasie Ford; two sisters Annie Talbert and husband Ken, Kokomo, and Connie Alley and husband Bill of Sparta, Tennessee: one brother Cecil Wood and wife Peggy of Windfall. Arleda was preceded in death by one daughter Heidi Finch.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 10 at Windfall Christian Church with Rev. Carl Roudebush presiding. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday, all at the church. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Arleda loved the Lord with all of her heart. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She touched the lives of many.
